I like to read and follow on instagrams and watch the videos of young and successful female entrepreneurs because I am amazed at how such a young age, they achieved so much pursuing their passion and being driven in making a difference in their lives and that of others.
So here's my take on what are the traits I've learnt from these successful and young female entrepreneurs.
Lest you think they have it easier due to their young age, the opposite is actually true. Because of their age, people tend to be more skeptical because they may not seem that experienced in life to be able to dish out advices or come out with these creative ideas and product innovations. The truth is, you are never too young to start. It's along the way that you pick up knowledge, which by the way, you shouldn't stop learning, and the fact that they want to prove to others that they can do it, make them more driven.
Passion is not enough. It does help in helping them to get through difficult or challenging moments but other than that, they need to put in long working hours, get their creative juices flowing when they get stuck or something or when problems needed to be solved. At the end of the day, they know their efforts are not wasted when they hit that sweet spot down the road.
They have the grit which sees them working hard every day because to them, it's not just about making money but about making a change to other people's lives or making an impact on the community. In the process, they also learn more about themselves and having a fulfilling life.
There are so many bakers and so many make up artists but how do they stand apart from the rest? They continue to learn and be driven to find new ways to make people stand up and see their work as being their own, whether through breakthroughs, own creativity or innovations and the learning doesn't stop there.
This is important that they actually follow a fixed routine that keep that them geared up on what's to come in the day by being fully mentally prepared on what they should achieve by the end of the day.
If they have a morning routine, they start their day on the right foot by knowing what they need to do which they have already planned either the night before or the moment they wake up. Instead of being wishy washy on what to do, they know exactly what they need to get things done. If they don't fully complete the things they want to achieve, they don't beat themselves up by pride on what they have managed to achieve instead because not everything has to be done on the very same day.
They don't get easily sidetracked. It's normal to lose sight of things some times like a shiny coin found on the floor but they just 'snapped' their fingers and start to get back to business, so to speak. In between when they are taking a short rest, they will fully be engaged in that rest before they start being productive again.
They also choose to make good use of their 24 hours, which by the way we all have, by prioritizing what is important or significant enough to value add to their life. They don't let these distractions consume their time easily because they are sure fire time killers.
Ending this off, young female entrepreneurs also know how to have fun while they're working hard. They go for manicures, shopping, take numerous selfies and are so confident with themselves, they don't let negative criticisms get to them easily. Sadly, while we should celebrate their success and be our own definitions of success, some people choose to put down others even if we're of the same sex. The point is to keep moving and doing our best in whatever work or opportunity that we are given. Whether or not we set ourselves as being future entrepreneurs, these traits can be easily adopted into our lives so that we are able to lead a fulfilling life each and every day.
